Bargaining Update - Feb 5/23 - Request for Contract Proposal Submissions

Preparations are now underway for the next round of collective bargaining with SecurTek.

At the first step in this process, members are invited to submit proposals for amendments to our current collective agreement, which will be reviewed at the Local 1-S Proposal Screening Caucus.  Proposals which are approved by the Local Screening Caucus will become part of the bargaining package exchanged with SecurTek.

All proposed amendments must be submitted on official Contract Proposal forms, which have been posted in electronic format on the Local 1-S website: https://www.uniforlocal1s.ca/about-us/bargaining-units/SecurTek.

Please remember to submit each proposal on a separate form (1 proposal per form) and include as much supporting information as possible.  Also, please remember to date and sign each proposal form.

Completed forms may be returned to your Steward, Chief Steward or the Local 1-S office by either fax, email or Canada Post (please do not use interoffice mail).

NOTE:  All contract proposal submissions must be received in the Local 1-S office by 4:30 pm, February 17, 2023.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact your Steward, Chief Steward, or the Local 1-S office.

Thank you.

In solidarity,

Dave Kuntz

President, Unifor Local 1-S
